Slough, Woking, Thurrock, Kent, Birmingham - these are just a few of the councils, of all political colours, in severe financial difficulties at present. The list grows by the week.
The Borough Council has given subsidised bus routes a funding boost to keep them going until at least 31st August 2026.
This week, I want to provide three more examples of the way in which the council is seeking to plan ahead and secure improvements in the years to come.
