So here we are. After 4 years of running the council, voters have put their faith in the Liberal Democrats once again, and given us a fifth year, with an increased majority.

Wokingham Borough Council is recognized nationally as a high-performing council. The Care Quality Commission judged us one of the best councils in England for adult social care and we were short-listed for the prestigious Council of the Year Award.
If you’ve been driving around or south of Wokingham Town in the last few weeks, you are more than likely to have seen worse than normal congestion.
We should see a lot of progress this year with Arborfield Green and Finchwood Park facilities, including the grass pitch refurbishment, sports pavilion and more allotments.
On 7 May, all parts of Wokingham Borough have local elections to determine who serves as your local councillor and which party has political control of the Borough Council.
The new Crisis and Resilience Fund launched in Wokingham this month. Funded by central government, this replaces the Household Support Fund which has helped us to provide grants and funding to support residents living on lower incomes since 2021.
