Show your support for speed limit reductions in Thames Ward
Councillor Katrin Harding needs your help to make our roads safer
Road safety is one of the top concerns residents raise with me – whether in our villages or along rural lanes. Evidence from across the country shows that lower speed limits, especially 20mph zones, make roads safer, encourage more walking and cycling, and have minimal impact on journey times.
The Liberal Democrat administration at Wokingham Borough Council is taking action – introducing a new Speed Limit Policy that makes it easier for communities to request lower speed limits. This is part of our Vision Zero ambition: no deaths or serious injuries on our roads.
I want to show there’s strong local support for safer speeds here in Thames Ward. If you agree that we should be early adopters of speed limit reductions in the borough, please add your name to this petition and help make our roads safer for everyone.
