About Tahir
I have lived in Earley for over twenty years now. Many of you will already know me as a former elected Mayor of Earley.
I have represented our area as a Town and Borough councillor for many years. We need someone in Parliament who promotes a caring society. Someone who pushes to ensure our freedom of expression isn’t affected and ensures our Police are better supported.
Someone who recognises the pressure our people and services are under.
I’m tired of feeling that Britain just doesn’t work any more - so I’m standing for Parliament to do something about it. Fixing our NHS, our economy and our country won’t be easy, but with your help, we can get our area the fair deal we know it deserves.
Tahir’s priorities for Earley and Woodley:
1) Sort out the NHS
Years of Conservative neglect have brought our NHS to its knees. It’s time our services get the investment they desperately need to get back on track, and our doctors, nurses, dentists and pharmacists all get a fair deal.
2) Sort out the economy
It feels like Britain is broken - global events would be bad enough even without Conservative mismanagement. It’s time to end the cost of living crisis and end the unfairness and waste in the system.
3) Sort out the environment
We can’t keep ignoring climate change. We owe it to young people and to future generations to pass on a planet - and a country - worth living in. It’s time for action on our water, our air, and our energy.
Remember:
Conservatives want to concentrate power in the elite and do things to you;
Labour want to concentrate power in the state and do things for you;
But Lib Dems want to give power back to the people and do things along with you.
