Safe Walking and Cycling on the South Wokingham Distributor Road

The South Wokingham Distributor Road and its new connections into the road network expect pedestrians and cyclists to share the pavement or cyclists to share the road.  With 2,500 houses planned in this area plus through traffic, congestion and safety concerns on the pavement will be a real barrier to people travelling on foot or by bike.

Local campaigners Peter Dennis, Rob Comber, Ian Shenton and Mariangela Ferrai ask for your support and to sign our petition calling for a redesign of the new roads to include dedicated space for each of cyclists and pedestrians, in line with newest government guidance.

We, the undersigned, call for redesign of the South Wokingham Distributor Road and its connections for safe walking and cycling.

Liberal Democrat campaigner Rob Comber is presenting the petition to the Wokingham Borough Council meeting on 18th March 2021.
