Councillor Stephen Conway has been trying to help The Rural Pie restaurant in the village centre get its outdoor seating in Wellington Square restored.
After prolonged negotiations between Waitrose head office and the borough council - and an email to the CEO of John Lewis from Stephen Conway - all obstacles to a happy resolution have been removed.
