I’m happy to have called Wokingham home for the last 16 years, having moved here from Reading to start a family.  What attracted myself and my wife was the area's exceptional schools, green spaces, welcoming neighbours and sense of community - all of which I aim to help continue as a local councillor.

Having been able to raise our three children in such a nice environment has been a privilege and I would like to ensure other families can continue to take advantage of this.

Being a councillor means advocating for change and improvements to the local area for residents and businesses, and ensuring that funding is properly allocated across the diverse needs within our community.

My job is in technical sales where my approach is consultative and collaborative, often looking for different ways forward in challenging situations. If elected, I plan to bring this approach to problem solving for our community in council discussions.

I look forward to being part of the Lib Dem team and working to continue making Wokingham an outstanding borough to live in.

I have lived in Wokingham for more than 7 years, and have been raising my family in Norreys for the past 6 years. We have been made very welcome and we enjoy living here.

I work as a scientist and educator in a London University where I research how we can learn our history and disease susceptibility from our DNA. I also champion inclusive education, ensuring that learning is accessible to everyone regardless of their background.

I am also a Town Councillor for Norreys East, where I enjoy planning and organising cultural events in Town, as well as events to encourage students to consider STEM subjects.

I am passionate about environmental issues and want to ensure a fair access to services for all residents. I want to be a Borough Councillor so that I can help more people in Norreys.

I am a relatively recent arrival to Wokingham having moved during 2023, and love the strong sense of community there is here in Wokingham. Before I lived here I’ve been an active campaigner with the Lib Dems in other places, most recently London, and South Gloucestershire.

If elected, I’ll make sure the people of Norreys have a strong voice at the council and that our corner of Wokingham is front and centre of every issue when decisions are being made that affect us all. It’s going to be either the Liberal Democrats or Conservatives running the council after this election, and I want to make sure Norreys has a voice in the room if it is the Lib Dems, as I am sure it will be.

As a former schoolteacher, I think education and childrens’ services is one of the most important things the council does, and I’d love to be involved in this if I’m elected adding my perspective from the classroom.

Outside of politics, I like to be involved in sports. Until recently I was the Chair of an American Football Club and have been volunteering in motorsports as a safety marshal for a number of years.
