Prue Bray, Lib Dem prospective parliamentary candidate for Wokingham, has vowed not to use her second homes allowance if elected as an MP. She says "If Martin Salter can commute to Westminster from Reading, I see no reason why I couldn't commute from Wokingham. After all, I used to do it when I worked in London. I am shocked by some of the details that are coming out about what MPs have claimed - everything from wax polish to moat cleaning, and even phantom mortgages. It is as if they have lost all connection with reality. It is simply not good enough for them to say they have acted within the rules. Have they no sense of morality at all? "
